Thomas W. Lehman, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Lehman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1973, his MD from the University Mississippi Medical Center in 1976. During his 35+ years of experience, he practices at both Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and Garden Park Hospital. He is a fellow of the American College of OB-GYN, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Mississippi State Medical Association, and the Southern Medical Association.
Joanna M. Trus, M.D. F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Trus received her MD from the Medical Academy in Lublin, Poland in 1980 and her residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver in 1992. She practices at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and Garden Park Hospital and is a fellow of the American College of OB-GYN, the Mississippi State Medical Association, the Society of Laparoedendoscopic Surgeons and the International Urogynecological Society. She has served on the credentials commite at MHG for over a decade.
John F. Pappas, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Pappas earned his medical degree from Brown University in 1990 and completed his residency in OB-GYN at the University of Connecticut in 1994. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been practicing with Woman’s Clinic P.A. For 21 years. He is affiliated with Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and Garden Park Hospital. Dr. Pappas is a fellow of the American College of OB-GYN and a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
Amanda Sterling, MSN, WHNP-BC, IBCLC
Amanda is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP). She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005 and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2021. Additionally, Amanda became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2012. She has experience in various areas of maternal-child nursing including labor & delivery, postpartum, gynecology, newborn nursery, pediatrics, maternal-fetal medicine, and lactation. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, and South Mississippi Breastfeeding Coalition.
Jonathan D. Jones, M.D.
Dr. Jones grew up in Long Beach, and graduated as a chemical engineer from the University of Mississippi in 2011. He completed his MD at the University of South Alabama before staying in Mobile to complete his residency at Children’s and Women’s hospital. He is a Junior Fellow in the American College of OB-GYN.
Haley McCool, M.D.
Dr. Haley McCool, MD received her medical degree and completed residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. A Gulfport native, she is excited to be returning back home to care for the women of the MS Gulf Coast. Dr. McCool’s favorite aspect of her job is getting to help women throughout all stages of life, from adolescence to post menopause. When she is not working, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and dog. She is also an avid fan of Mississippi State and Taylor Swift.

Alisha H. Ware, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Ware received her medical degree and completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Medicine in Shreveport. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is on staff at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and Garden Park Hospital. She is a fellow of the American College of OB-GYN and a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association.
Haley McCool, M.D.
Dr. Haley McCool, MD received her medical degree and completed residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
